2009 is a special year as Scotland hosts its first ever Homecoming inspired by the 250th anniversary celebrations of the birth of Robert Burns at Burns Cottage in Alloway just 1.8km from Sunnyside. Scotland is also celebrating some of it's great contributions to the world: whisky, golf, great minds and innovations and our rich culture and heritage which lives on at home and across the world.
