Brig O'Doon House Hotel

For guests of weddings/functions at the Brig O'Doon Hotel, you may park here and we will be pleased to drive you the short distance (2 minutes). Check in from midday or earlier by arrangement. Home made soup and sandwiches or home baking on arrival. Burns Museum and Burns Cottage

The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum is a 5-star National Trust property opened in January 2011. It is a world class multi site visitor attraction combining the history and collection of national poet and international icon Robert Burns with cutting edge technology and architecture. You can visit the 18th century thatched cottage where Burns was born and see the most important collection of Burns work and his life. The museum has many interactive exhibits making it suitable for all ages and caters for all major languages. You can climb the Burns Monument, relax in its gardens and walk across the 14th century Brig O'Doon made famous in his poem Tam O'Shanter. Golf

Ayrshire is the home of Open Golf where the first competition was played at Prestwick in 1860. Ayrshire has 2 of Scotland's Open Championship courses at Turnberry and Royal Troon and Sunnyside is situated just 20 minutes drive from both. Often referred to as Scotland's Golf Coast, Ayrshire is steeped in golf tradition and along with its breathtaking scenery and fine municipal courses makes it a superb golf destination. Greenan Castle

The beach and historic Greenan Castle are less than 10 minutes walk from Sunnyside. The Castle dates from the 12th century when it was an earthwork and timber fortress.
